New Improvements to our factory PDF Print

Every year BORRELL® invests in new equipment to improve it's factory.

Recent improvements have seen the installation of an all-new Paint Room and steel storage system with automatic feed. Both were purchased during 2007 and have been brought into full operation this year, bringing important advances to both the manufacturing process and the end-quality of our products.

The new paint room represents a major step forward in the paint finish of our products.

This room is made-up of two parts – the first phase involves the application of an epoxy based undercoat followed by a polyurethane coat which is added to provide a durable, resistent covering.

The paint room is also fitted with a special air filter system meaning that no impurities settle and stick to the recently painted surface.

This new system also brings important improvements to the general work environment.

The second phase of the operation involves drying in a special compartment where the temperature is maintained at 70ºC - speeding up the drying process and improving adhesion. The undercoats applied in the previous phase also result in superior absorption of the top coats of paint.

The new steel storage system with automatic feed houses the sheet steel used in the manufacturing process and is situated next to the laser cutter and punch machine.

José Borrell, S.A continually strives to innovate and develop it's facilities in order to manufacture superior quality products.

Our equipment is manufactured in accordance with the highest possible standards in every manufacturing step, which is one of the reasons we are able to stay ahead as market leader in almond processing equipment.
