We are proud to announce the successful start-up of an all-new BORRELL Blanching Line at a prominent almond processor in Southern California.


The line is rated for a production of 2000-2500 pounds per hour with the emphasis on producing PREMIUM QUALITY.

The newly designed line features all stainless steel construction, full computer control with touchscreen, 2 dual pass Blanching Heads and a CPM Wolverine Proctor Dryer-Cooler adapted by BORRELL specifically for blanching and roasting applications using an exclusive, high performance Weishaupt burner which doubles as a roaster when required.

SATAKE ScanMaster sorter



The line also features a SATAKE ScanMaster sorter and the option of separating splits and undersize product (separately) prior to weighing & packing.


Other features worthy of mention are:

- The line includes integrated safety features, such as anti-blocking elevators New hygienic design reduces possible contamination risk points and facilitates cleaning and maintenence of the line.

- Integrated platform gives access to ALL points for service and cleaning. Programmable, self cleaning high pressure wash system fitted to dryer-cooler.

- New improved Modular Blanching Heads Automated computer controlled system offers maximum flexibility and capacity to store and exchange useful data related to production, quality and maintenance. Ethernet/internet connection allows remote system monitoring.

- All software is configurable according to client's needs via VBA/Javascript (optionally Python & PHP).

- New microwave technology optionally available to monitor and control moisture levels.

- Total flexibility: Possibility of blanching or roasting using the same line.

- Minimum water consumption in washing & scalding - with water rennovation automaticaly controlled.
