Since 1948 when Mr. José Borrell Collado sets the company up with the collaboration of his father Mr. Angel Borrell Ivars, who already in 1925 built the first automatic almond sheller.

José Borrell, S.A concentrates on designing, manufacturing and installing machines and complete installations for processing dried fruit such as: almonds, hazelnuts, carobs, apricot stones, pulses such as: Chick-peas an lentils and cereals such as: rice and corn; sunflower seeds and other fruits and seeds.
In addition BORRELL offers products and projects carried out jointly or in collaboration with other major manufacturers such as FAM, Donaldson Air Purification, Thermo Electron ,CPM Wolverine Proctor, C & P., among others.

At our factory we have a demo area where we can run our machinery to do a “on-site” demo. We find it of most importance to have direct contact with our clients, listen to their ideas, their needs and worries. This relation has been and still is elementary whilst developing our products.
