BORRELL Receives the Award for Best Innovative Project at the 8th Innovation Awards 2025

José Borrell S.A. has been honored with the Award for Best Innovative Project, in the SME category, for its project “HYPERQUADRO® SMART-ADJUST Sheller,” as part of the 8th Innovation Awards – 2025 Edition, organized by the Valencian Community Innovation Club.

The awards ceremony took place on December 4, 2025, during the 8th Innovation Night, held at the SH Valencia Palace Hotel, in a gala that brought together nearly 120 attendees, including member companies, partner organizations, and entities interested in learning more about the Club’s activities.

The award was accepted on behalf of the company's CEO, Jose Roig-Borrell, by Deputy Director Jorge Larumbe Rodríguez, who expressed his appreciation for the recognition of a patented innovation that we are confident will mark a turning point in the technology used for processing in-shell nuts, such as almonds, hazelnuts, and others, thanks to its mechanical adjustment capability, increased efficiency, precision, and reduced product loss.

The evening was sponsored by Ibercaja and Alberta Norweg and was hosted by Susana Ollero, a familiar presenter of this event and of the Innovation Congress. The institutional opening was led by Paco Gavilán, President of the Club Innovación and of Nunsys Group. The awards and innovation seals were announced by Salvador Coll, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Knowledge Transfer at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and President of the Jury.
