The 7th Spanish Almond Industry Forum, organized by Descalmendra, took place on June 18, 2026, at the Caja Rural de Aragón Building in Zaragoza, bringing together representatives from across the almond value chain to discuss the current state of the industry and its future challenges and opportunities.

Organized by JCS Marketing, the event brought together almond growers, processors, handlers, researchers, PCA professionals, suppliers, and companies connected to California’s almond industry.

As one of the newest industry events focused specifically on the California almond sector, Almond Day served as an important meeting point for networking, technology, innovation, and discussion around the current challenges and future opportunities facing the industry.

The 2026 Fruit and Citrus Growing Conference, organized by the Spanish Society for Horticultural Sciences (SECH), took place from June 16 to 18 at CIHEAM Zaragoza, bringing together researchers, technicians, growers, and industry professionals to discuss the latest developments and future challenges facing the fruit and citrus sectors.

The conference provided an important forum for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, covering topics related to sustainability, mechanization, crop management, product quality, and post-harvest technologies, while highlighting the role of innovation in improving the competitiveness of the horticultural industry.

The V Congresso Portugal Nuts 2026 took place on May 26, 2026, at the Vila Galé Hotel in Évora, Portugal, bringing together growers, processors, researchers, technicians and companies linked to almonds, pistachios, walnuts and other nut crops.

Borrell participated as a sponsor of the congress, one of the key meeting points for the nut industry in Portugal and Southern Europe. Portugal continues to show strong growth and international projection in the nut sector, combining tradition, product quality, productivity and investment in modern agricultural and industrial technologies.

From May 12 to 14, 2026, BORRELL participated in the INC World Nut & Dried Fruit Congress 2026, organized by the International Nut and Dried Fruit Council (INC) and held at the Galaxy International Convention Center in Macao, China.

This leading international congress brought together the global nut and dried fruit industry in one of the most dynamic business hubs in Asia, offering a unique platform for networking, market insight, strategic discussion, and international business development.

From April 27 to 30, 2026, Borrell USA joined as a Brand Sponsor and exhibitor in the 44th Annual Almond Alliance Convention, organized by the Almond Alliance and held at the Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach, California.

The event brought together growers, huller-shellers, processors, industry partners, and key stakeholders from across the almond sector, creating an excellent forum for discussion, networking, and business development at a particularly important time for the California almond industry.

From May 3 to 7, 2026, BORRELL participated in the IX International Symposium on Almonds and Pistachios, held in Lleida, Spain. This international event is a reference point for the almond and pistachio sectors and was convened by Dr. Xavier Miarnau and Dr. Joaquim Bellvert, from IRTA, and organized under the framework of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).

The event brought together researchers, technicians, companies, growers, and professionals from different countries interested in sharing knowledge, analyzing the evolution of both crops, and learning about the main scientific, technological, and production trends shaping the future of almonds and pistachios at an international level.

On April 29, 2026, BORRELL participated in the XI Almond and Hazelnut Meeting, organized by the Spanish Association of Almond and Hazelnut Exporters (SAB-Almendrave), held this year in Cuenca, Spain.

The event took place at the Hospedería del Seminario, located at Plaza de la Merced, 3, in an emblematic setting that welcomed some of the key players in the almond and hazelnut value chain in Spain.
