BORRELL to Sponsor the 5th Portugal Nuts Harvest Review 2026

 BORRELL will participate as a sponsor of the 5th Portugal Nuts Harvest Review 2026 (V Balanço de Campanha Frutos Secos), organized by Portugal Nuts and taking place on November 3 at the Espaço Multiusos in Almeirim, Portugal.

The event will bring together growers, processors, industry representatives, and experts to review the 2026 harvest, discuss production forecasts, and explore the main challenges and opportunities facing Portugal's tree nut industry.

Portugal has experienced remarkable growth in almond production over the past decade, rising from approximately 10,000 metric tons in 2015 to over 90,000 in 2024. Driven by new orchards in the Alentejo region and continued development in traditional growing areas such as the Alto Douro, this expansion is creating significant opportunities for the modernization of the nut processing industry.

The program will feature an update on the Nuts 2030 industry study by CONSULAI, insights into market trends and international trade from Portugal Fresh, and Portugal's 2026 almond production forecast presented by Demeter.

Portugal Nuts will also share the latest almond and walnut harvest data, while a roundtable discussion will bring together growers and processors to exchange experiences and perspectives on the industry's development.
